Between Saturday 24th-31st May 2003, four of us did a round trip from Cheltenham - John O Groats- Lands End - Cheltenham. The journey to John O Groats was approximately 668 miles. We then did 1051 miles going to Lands End and about 279 miles back to Cheltenham. A round trip of 1998 miles. I was on a Yamaha Fazer 600, friend Andy and his brother Paul were on Suzuki Bandit 1200N and S respectively and Don was on a Triumph Daytona 955i. |

Day 1
|
Cheltenham to Dumbarton. A quick run up the motorway, straight through Glasgow on the M8 and into a B and B in Dumbarton. Pic of Dumbarton Castle. |

Day 2
|
Dumbarton to the lovely Black Isle (NE of Inverness).
We went via Loch Lomond, Loch Ness, Urqhart Castle, Fort William, Inverness
and to the Newfield

Black Isle to Berwick on Tweed via Perth and Edinburgh.
Passed through Aviemore and the much spoken of Boat of Garten with the
River Spey running through
it.

Day 5
|
Berwick upon Tweed to Scarborough via Angel of the
North, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and the North Yorkshire Moors. Passed
the Angel of the North - wish I'd stopped for a pic. We did stop for
a pic at the Star Wars Early Warning Station at Fylingdales
... and that's another story! Whitby one
